Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Analyst to join the Human Resources team. This person will be a qualified, dynamic and dedicated individual able to contribute to the success of our company. 


Main responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Compensation and Benefits, and the Associate, Compensation and Benefits, your responsibilities will be: 

  • Manage the Human Resources data management and system (HRIS)
  • Participate in the management of compensation programs (salary structure, short-term and long-term incentives)
  • Assist in the monitoring of the Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension plans and the production of analyses for the Pension Committee
  • Participate in the design and management of group benefit programs (group insurance contract, employee assistance program, share purchase plan, etc.)
  • Support activities related to Executive Compensation and Disclosure
  • Assist in the production of documents for and coordination of the Human Resources Committee meetings
  • Assist the Human Resources team in various employee related matters, from hiring to retirement


Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, finance, business administration, or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of Pension, Benefit and/or Compensation experience
  • Prior professional experience in top consulting firms or public corporations (highly preferred)
  • Interest and/or experience in financial services
  • ASA, FSA/FCIA or CFA designation an asset
  • Can report to either the Montreal office or Toronto office (with quarterly visits to Montreal)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and changing project environment
  • Highly analytical and self-driven 
  • Demonstrates distinctive problem-solving skills and an ability to structure solutions to solve complicated and ambiguous problems across a wide range of human resources topics
  • Ability to collaborate with a team of colleagues who come from a variety of functional backgrounds
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and French)
  • Ability to synthesize and articulate analyses and ideas concisely and rapidly with simultaneous attention to detail
