Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Strategy Analyst. This person will be a qualified, dynamic and dedicated individual able to contribute to the success of our company. 


Main responsibilities

  • Play an important supporting role working with senior leadership to identify and shape value creation priorities for Power and its portfolio companies, such as strategy formation and execution, operational transformation and financial due diligence 
  • Drive individual work streams independently within critical organic and inorganic growth activities and multi-year transformation efforts; aid in the overall project management of such activities
  • Conduct a variety of analyses including articulation of industry trends, competitor dynamics, financial performance, and operational metrics
  • Track and enhance the metrics for analyzing and monitoring performance of our companies


Requirements

  • Distinctive problem-solving skills – needs an excellent ability to structure solutions to highly complicated and ambiguous problems in a wide range of industry and functional topics  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to synthesize and articulate analyses and ideas concisely and rapidly with simultaneous attention to detail
  • Strong organizational abilities within a fast-paced and changing project environment 
  • Highly analytical and self-driven to support the performance of the team’s investments; able to combine quantitative data with a qualitative context of the business
  • Team player – able to collaborate with a team of colleagues who come from a variety of functional backgrounds and are nimble and fast-paced
  • Interpersonal skills – able to lead without authority and form trusted relationship with stakeholders of all seniority levels
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and an entrepreneurial culture
  • Relevant undergraduate and/or graduate degree with exceptional academic accomplishments 
  • Prior professional experience in top-tier consulting or investment banking highly preferred
  • Interest and/or experience in financial services, corporate development, and growth strategy; actuarial experience will also be strongly considered 
  • Able and willing to travel, as required, based on company policies and guidelines in place
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
